Mission

To accelerate the world's access to great software.

Vision

A world where the gap between a great idea and a shipped product is measured in days. Not months. Not a second mortgage.

Values

Three things we will not compromise on. For any client. At any price.

01

Prompting is the craft.

Any studio can call itself AI-native. What separates a great website from AI slop is the quality of the prompts, the evaluations, and the human review behind every output. That is where we invest.

02

Craft does not expire.

Every codebase we ship, we would be comfortable with another engineer opening six months later. Clean architecture, semantic markup, and zero hallucinated dependencies. Not optional at any timeline.

03

Women built this.

Northbound is woman-owned and operated. We believe the industry changes when women do not just have a seat at the table. They own the studio.

Meet the Hairies

My cousin used to hand-knit tiny wool creatures — she called them hairies. Five of them, all different, all slightly lopsided. We played with them for hours growing up. When I built Northbound, I came back to that image: small, expressive, and impossible to ignore. I turned them into our unofficial studio mascots. They show up in every sprint — five feelings any build team will recognize.
